Dear friends,
There's a particular moment in our development where the focus shifts. You've grown enough to deeply value your journey, have done some honest meditation practice, even tasted awakening, and have “done the work” to heal the grit of your shadows and traumas.
But is something still incomplete?
At this stage you can come from a different place than you have before. It may be time to integrate all you’ve learned into the here-and-now of your unfoldment, all within a larger awareness Wholeness. Everything is already included—your awakened nature and your imperfect human beingness, your persona and shadow, your individual uniqueness and how you’ll serve the collective in the complexity of our time.
I’m Chad Bennett. I’m a spiritual mentor, Integral Rinzai Zen priest, and former psychotherapist. For the last twenty-five years, I've been exploring how spiritual awakening, healthy psychological maturity and healing weave and integrate, not as separate paths, but like three strands of the same braid.
I’m not someone to follow, I sure as hell won’t fix you, but I’ll do my best to be a companion in the truest sense, what the old traditions called Kalyana Mitra, a friendship for awakening.
I invite you to join me on this extraordinary journey.
Yours,

Chad Bennett
Steward, Mitra

Chad made it clear the goal was to not need him anymore. We did more than cleaning up my inner life. We spent time in the deepest practices and he taught me to be my own therapist. He is like a gentle laser.

A free drop-in practice space that meets regularly. A chance to come together and get a feel for the Mitra container.

Private guidance for people navigating significant thresholds or wanting more support for their practices.

Deep inquiry and mutual unfoldment in an intimate group setting. This is the signature container for Mitra.

I hold several retreats per year focused on awakening through silent sitting and trans-lineage meditation instruction.
